Smocked shirt for a landsknecht

A while back I finished a 16th century german landsknecht shirt for a friend as my part of  a handicraft exchanged. He made me a 16th century wodden chest. This friday I was able to get a photo of him in the shirt.
The front and the back is made of one piece of linen fabric with a seam at the front. I used the width of the fabric, so its 150 cm around the bodies. The arms are made of two rectangular pieces and sleeve gussets. He wanted the sleeves to be quite narrow, not a lot of fabric around his arms inside the jacket. Two meter linen is enought to make this shirt. Its made by hand with waxed linen thread with backstitch and the seam allowence is folded down and whiped stitched.

The smock is honeycomb and I made worked bars for the closing of the wrists and the collar.
And here is the chest he made for me.
